Riven- Basically riven flags are simply artificial copies of stone or concrete flags and due to their artificial nature are often cheaper in price.  There are also many more colour and shape options when it comes to using riven. There is also the option of having tarmac driveways which as well as looking great, and they can be combined with blocks to make a nice edging, the surface is hard wearing and long lasting, hence the reason it is used on car parks and road surfacing.

Pattern Imprinted Concrete Maintenance:

Theoretically speaking, there is a real and rather large chance that any professionally installed pattern imprinted concrete feature using the highest quality of materials will require zero by way of maintenance indefinitely. The very nature of the reinforced concrete used is such that general wear and tear that would normally be inflicted by daily use is simply no match for the resilience of the material, which is just as well at home in industrial, heavy impact settings as adorning the driveways of a quaint country retreat. Regardless of how ornate, complex and sophisticated the design and finish may be, there is essentially no reason why maintenance should be anything more that a highly unlikely consideration for any owner of a quality pattern imprinted concrete instalment.

Indeed, the only remote possibility is that depending on the level of use the feature undergoes and the weather conditions it is exposed to, an additional or top-up coast of sealant may be required every four years or so, though such will always be advised by those going about the installation. In any case, applying such sealant is no more a challenge than applying a thin coat of standard paint or varnish, which at intervals of once every hard years could hardly be considered a bind by any stretch of the imagination. Such is just one of the areas in which pattern imprinted concrete excels above and beyond all comparable building materials, offering a level of long term value and hassle-free ownership that make the initial investment one of quite extraordinary value when considered relatively.
